What are the Symptoms of Osteoarthritis?

• Pain in the joints that are affected

• Pain worsens with use – particularly with tight gripping / pinching activities

• Worse in the cold

• Worse with changes in barometric pressure - you will know when a storm is coming!

• Stiff joints, particularly after rest

• Slight swelling around the joint

• Sharp pain if the joint gets knocked or bumped

• Weakness

• In severe cases reduced movement of the affected joint

• The joint may start to bend sideways or in ways different to unaffected joints
